Lukáš Borzík’s work is distinguished by an attempt at recontextualisation and a synthesis of the compositional principles of modality, tonality and extended tonality, in parallel with polymodal, bitonal, atonal, twelve-tone, and serial procedures. He draws inspiration from theology, philosophy, poetry, physics, astronomy, biology, architecture, and visual art. Associations between these scientific and artistic disciplines, generating certain analogies and interweavings, find reflection in his musical thinking.
