1976 – 1980 Public conservatory in Bratislava, classical guitar
1979 – 1984 Theoretical cybernetics, Faculty of mathematics and physics, Comenius University Bratislava
from 1983 member of the fusion band Stop Time (Matúš Jakabčic – leader, el. guitar; J. Štubniak – piano; Juraj Griglák – bass guitar, Oldo Petráš – drums; later Ján Fabrický – drums, Juraj Bartoš – trumpet, Richard Šarközi – keyboards, Jesper Pedersen – bass guitar (DA); guest appearances Dušan Húščava – tenor saxophone, Cyril Zeleňák, Marcel Buntaj – drums), with whom he appeared in a number of successful concerts both home and abroad (1984, 1986 – Bratislava Guitariade ; 1985 – Blues on the Danube Bratislava; 1986 – BJD; 1988 – Carslbad International jazz festival; 1989 – festival in Hertogenbosch (NL); 1990 – tour across France etc.)
1985 – 1989 Dance Orchestra of the Czechoslovak Television in Bratislava (comp, arr)
1986 – 1991 State Conservatory Bratislava, composing
1994 – 1995 Berklee College of Music Boston, composing

1997 Slovak Jazz Quartet (Matúš Jakabčic – guitar; Juraj Bartoš – trumpet; Juraj Griglák – bass guitar; Jozef „Dodo” Šošoka – drums), concerts abroad (Jerusalem, Zagreb, London etc.)
since 1998 Bee Connection (Berco Balogh – vocal, Peter Preložník – keyboards, Juraj Griglák – bass guitar, Oldo Petráš – drums)
currently teaches arranging and jazz harmony at the Bratislava Conservatory; member of the Parisian Euro Jazz Big Band (FR), for whom he does composing and arranging.
